How to distinguish Malay jade similar to jade

Malay jade, the Malaysian jade, is known as Nanyang Cui and South Korean jade. Its main component is quartz stone. It is generally transparent or translucent, and the texture is also fine. It is rich in emerald green, which is actually dyed. The similarity angle with jade is high, but it can still be distinguished.

hardness

The main component of Malay jade is quartz stone, the hardness is also relatively large, generally between 6.5-7, the relative density is 2.64, its port port is staggered and no cleavage. The jadeite has a hardness of 7, and the relative density is between 3.30 and 3.36. The port is staggered and has a flaky green color.

colour

Although the color of Malay is bright and unevenly distributed, under the 10X magnifying glass, its green color surrounds the edge of the quartz grain, so that the color is artificially processed.

Fluorescence

Because Malay jade is inert under ultraviolet light, it shows a green fluorescence with a detector light, and does not change color or pink under the Charles filter.
