In the same period when cotton prices have been on the rise, fabrics such as t/c blended yarn apparel textiles and polyester-cotton woven or knitted fabrics in China Textile City have also seen their selling prices follow suit. The popular 65/35 thin blend, 45S × 45S, 133 × 72 polyester-cotton "flat cloth" has experienced a slight increase in gray cloth orders, with white billet prices currently below 5.50 yuan per meter. For smaller batches, such as 1,000 meters, the price is around 5.60 yuan per meter.
However, for larger transactions outside the city, since the beginning of this month, some businesses have started asking for 6.20 yuan per meter. In recent days, the asking price for medium-sized fabric batches has climbed to 6.80 yuan per meter. For larger quantities—over 2,000 to 5,000 meters—the asking price has stabilized at approximately 6.50 yuan per meter.
As raw fabric prices continue to rise, the market has seen cylinder-dyed 133 × 72 finished fabrics exceed 8.10 yuan per meter. Some small batches of a few hundred meters are even being asked at over 8.50 yuan per meter. Recently, machine-cylinder-dyed polyester-cotton 133 × 72 "flat cloth" has seen an increase of at least 0.30 yuan per meter, with the highest jump reaching up to 1.00 yuan per meter.
In the second half of the year, there has been broader demand for thicker blends, such as 42S/2 × 21S, 124 × 69 mercerized singed "card" fabric. The first dyed finished product is priced between 7.50 to 8.00 yuan per meter. Before this recent price hike, the price was around 9.70 to 9.80 yuan per meter. However, a month ago, as gray cloth prices continued to climb, the transaction price for machine-cylinder-dyed fabrics of two or three kilometers reached over 13.20 yuan per meter, with asking prices now hovering around 13.50 yuan per meter.
This trend reflects growing pressure on textile manufacturers and traders, who are trying to balance rising input costs with stable profit margins. As a result, many buyers are becoming more cautious, while sellers are pushing higher prices in hopes of maintaining profitability.
