Starting from 2010, the Ministry of Commerce has been actively working on establishing several export bases for agricultural light textiles and pharmaceutical products, with an emphasis on cultivating business platforms that support these industries. These export bases include a wide range of sectors such as plastic products, bags, shoes, umbrellas, hair care items, ceramics, glassware, jewelry, musical instruments, furniture, toys, handicraft gifts, stationery, travel and leisure goods, hardware, and other light industrial products like eyewear.
The letter highlights several key aspects:
1. **Export Bases**: It emphasizes the importance of existing light industry export bases that have developed strong industrial clusters. These bases are evaluated based on their names, industry content, brand recognition, and research and development (R&D) capabilities.
