The traditional trading zone of China Textile City, known as "Spring of the Rabbit," officially opened on February 10, marking the eighth day of the first lunar month. This year's event saw a wide range of gray fabrics available, including polyester filament chiffon, pongee, satin linen, washed cashmere, and satin. Many fabric businesses have stockpiled inventory, while some operators have already started working with dyeing and printing factories to prepare for the season.
Notably, there was a strong presence of printed chiffon fabrics such as 75DFDY × 100DFDY silver ribbon printing chiffon, glitter-sparkle printed crepe, and various flower-printed designs. The variety of patterns was diverse, with small quantities and multiple styles being in high demand. Some larger outlets have their own printing and processing facilities, and several companies have introduced newly developed creative fabrics. These innovative materials are showing strong market potential, with prices slightly higher than standard local products.
In addition, spring casual fashion fabrics made from polyester FDY and DTY also saw moderate sales. While overall transaction volume increased compared to previous periods, small-batch and multi-variety orders remained particularly active. Prices for innovative and creative fabrics have been steadily rising, with a slight upward trend in sales volumes.
Polyester FDY, cationic FDY-based dyed woven fabrics, and yarn-dyed colorful striped cloth are selling smoothly in the local market. Fashionable spring elastic fabrics, especially those with cationic four-way stretch, have gained popularity due to improved ingredient ratios and weaving techniques. Fabrics like 200D cationic DTY combined with 108D triangular light-profiled wire and 40D spandex, or 32S cotton yarn blended with 250D cationic FDY for four-way stretch, are being well-received. Other popular combinations include 300D cationic DTY with 40D spandex and 100D DTY low-bomb black silk paired with 200D triangular light FDY network wire for four-way stretch.
Compared to similar fabrics, these new introductions offer better luster and are quickly gaining favor among customers. Overall, the textile market is showing signs of recovery, with a growing interest in creativity, quality, and unique designs. (Correspondent: Jiang Jianren)
