Since 2011, despite the weak international demand and rising cost of domestic factors of production, the export of textile and apparel still maintained a rapid growth. The share of global textile and apparel exports has been increasing year by year, and the share of textile products has grown faster than that of apparel. According to WTO statistics, from 2011 to 2013, the global textile and apparel exports were 711.8 billion U.S. dollars, 706.6 billion U.S. dollars, and 766.1 billion U.S. dollars. My textile and garment exports were 247.9 billion U.S. dollars, 254.9 billion U.S. dollars and 284 billion U.S. dollars respectively, accounting for 34.82%, 36.% and 37.07% respectively of the world's total exports, an increase of more than 1 percentage point on average. Among them, from 2011 to 2013, the export of apparel was 153.7 billion U.S. dollars, with 159.6 billion U.S. dollars and 174.7 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 36.8%, 37.8% and 38.5% respectively of the global apparel exports; and my textile exports were 94.4 billion U.S. dollars and 95.4 billion U.S. dollars, 106.5 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 32.1%, 33.6% and 34.8% respectively of the global textile exports. These data show that China's textile and garment export trade is increasing year by year.
